It is located very close to Pl. España, on Tarragona street, just behind the old bullring that was rehabilitated to build the Las Arenas shopping center.
The park is also called L’Escoxador (Slaughterhouse), since the Municipal Slaughterhouse was located on its land.
The Park occupies an area of six hectares and stands out for the statue that stands in the Dona i Ocell (Woman and Bird) pond, the work of Joan Miró. With a height of 20 meters on artificial stone and vivid polychrome ceramic coatings, it was one more of the works that the artist donated to the city. If the day allows it, a good photograph is the image of the statue reflected in the water.
Apart from the large hard square with the pond, we must highlight the access pergola from Aragón street and the pine forest that coexists with plantations of poplar palms and oaks. Among its facilities, it has a playground, ping-pong tables, sports and petanque courts, and an area for dogs.
The JoanMiró Library is located in the only building that we will find in the park.
