FGC – Railways of the Generalitat de Catalunya

The Generalitat also offers an integrated rail network that completes the metro network, with a similar frequency of service, to connect the entire city with each other. These are the lines: L6 (line 6, light purple) Plaça Catalunya – Reina Elisenda); L7 (line 7, brown) Plaça Catalunya – Avinguda Tibidabo) and L8 (line 8, pink) Plaça Espanya – Molí Nou Ciutat Cooperativa.

The stations in the city are located in Plaça Espanya and Plaça Catalunya. In addition to the local service, the FGC network also connects Barcelona with cities such as Manresa, through the R50, which allows access to Montserrat. In this sense, there is a combined ticket, Trans Montserrat – 3 in 1, which includes a round trip by train, rack railway and funiculars. Another, somewhat more expensive, Montserrat Express, adds to this an audio guide for the visit to the monastery, and finally, Tot Montserrat allows you to get to Montserrat from Barcelona or other points in the metropolitan area, visit the different places with the funiculars, to which is added a gastronomic and cultural experience. The FGC network also has an express connection service for the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
