The most famous Christmas markets are:&#13;\n&#13;\n&#8211; Santa Ll\u00facia Fair, around the cathedral.&#13;\n&#13;\n&#8211; Sagrada Familia Christmas Fair..&#13;\n&#13;\n&#8211; Plaza de Sants Christmas Fair<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tio-de-nadal\"><strong>Ti\u00f3 de Nadal (Christmas Uncle):<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Starting on the feast day of the Immaculate Conception, the 8th of December, every night families begin to \u201cfeed\u201d a tree trunk decorated with a face on one end, which is usually covered with a blanket so it doesn\u2019t get cold at night. On Christmas Day, the wooden \u201cuncle\u201d is put in the fire and after being hit it with a cane, it produces sweets and nougats for the children.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"platos-tradicionales\"><strong>Traditional dishes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The traditional dishes at Christmastime are \u201cescudella\u201d stock and its \u201ccarn d\u2019olla\u201d (the meat used to make the stock), followed by stuffed capon or turkey. For dessert, the traditional \u201cturr\u00f3n\u201d nougats are savoured, made with almonds, hazelnuts and honey, or marzipan and candied fruit.&#13;\n&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"fin-de-ano\"><strong>New Year\u2019s Eve<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>New Year\u2019s Eve is celebrated with meals and parties as people await the sound of the twelve bells tolling on the city\u2019s clocks.
